Take stock before you move

Record your domain registrar, current hosting, website software and email provider. Keep a recent copy of website files and databases. Agree the migration scope and timing with your new provider.

Keep email in the plan

Mailboxes, forwarders and DNS records need their own attention. Make sure everyone involved knows which email service will remain in use and what needs to be transferred.

Test, then switch

Check the migrated website before changing DNS. Keep the original hosting active while the change settles, and test forms, checkout and email afterwards. Ask the team when it is safe to close the old service.
